Today’s Promise is 1 Corinthians 1:21 CJB:
“For God’s wisdom ordained that the world, using its own wisdom, would not come to know him. Therefore God decided to use the ‘nonsense’ of what we proclaim as his means of saving those who come to trust in it.”
Devotion:
The world in all its “wisdom” cannot see the very God who created it. The world thinks it knows so much about the heavens and the earth and how it all works, but the truth is man hasn’t even begun to grasp all the wonders of God’s creation. It’s only when we realize that we know nothing, and begin to seek the source, that our eyes are opened to receive the Truth. True wisdom has only one source. And He loves to share.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, it is through Your Spirit that I receive Your truth and the faith to believe. Thank You for choosing me to receive and believe. Please, use me, Lord, in Jesus’ name, to open the eyes of others. Amen.
