Today’s Promise is James 2:12, 13 NKJV:
“So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
Devotion:
If we belong to God, He doesn’t look at us and see weak, fallible humans prone to sin. When God looks at His children, He sees us as we are in Heaven, wearing pure white robes, having been covered by the blood of His precious Son. So, we are called to see our brothers and sisters in Christ, leaving judgement to God. While we see the unsaved with mercy because they are lost and haven’t yet received the gift of Salvation as we have. A gift that should bring an attitude of mercy and generosity, extending the same grace that has been given us. Who needs your mercy today?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me to see others as You see them, in Jesus’ name. Help me to cultivate an attitude of gratitude that extends to the people around me. Amen.
