Today’s Promise is Ephesians 2:14 NKJV:
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.”
Devotion:
People have been crying out for world peace for generations, yet we never achieve it. That is because Christ alone is our peace. Any peace achieved apart from Him is neither true nor lasting. Only the love of Jesus can see past our skin color, the clothes we wear, what car we drive, our nationality, our belief system, our past faults, and all the other barriers we use as excuses to withhold love and grace from our brothers and sisters. And unless I submit completely to the Lord and allow Him to break down these barriers in me first, all my cries for peace will have no effect whatever. Are you choosing peace?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please forgive me for withholding from others the love and grace You so freely gave. Pour out Your Spirit, Lord, and give me Your heart for all of Your children. I surrender to You, Father. Please use me to impart Your love to everyone You put in my path and bring to my heart in prayer. Let Your peace reign in my heart, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
