Today’s Promise is Proverbs 2:7 NKJV:
“He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.”
Devotion:
There is a big difference between being right and being upright. This may sound like a contradiction, but only in humility can we walk uprightly. For there is only One who is right. When we humble ourselves in His sight, He will lift us up!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You alone are my righteousness. Please make me ever mindful of this, in Jesus’ name, so my pride will not prevent me from walking uprightly before you. Whenever I have the choice between being right and being love, help me choose love. Amen.
