Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Psalm 34:15 NKJV:
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.”
Devotion:
If you’ve been a parent of small children, you know the hyper-vigilance that comes with taking your kids into busy places. Your eyes constantly check their location, your ears constantly assess the sounds they make, knowing the meaning of each variation in tone. Even when our children grow up and leave the nest, the need to know where they are and that they are safe never fades.
The same thing that makes us righteous, the blood of Jesus Christ, makes us the children of God. Our Father’s vigilance is so much greater than ours, and His vision and hearing are not limited by the circumstances of the world. He is constantly watching and listening. We are never out of His care.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so much! Thank You, in Jesus’ name, that even when I don’t feel Your presence, You are there, watching me, hearing me, caring for me. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
Rebecca
