Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Romans 5:5 CJB:
“And this hope does not let us down, because God’s love for us has already been poured out in our hearts through the Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] who has been given to us.”
Devotion:
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the nature of God as my Dad. Recently, I had a vision where I stood facing Jesus. I was in a specific place for a specific reason, which was awesome, but what has stayed with me most is His overwhelming love for me. Love that poured from His eyes, saturating my every molecule–and something else. Pride. A Fatherly pride that I have never known on earth. As much as I’ve screwed up and failed Him, I knew beyond a doubt that my Dad is proud of me. And I know it’s not by my efforts or deeds. God didn’t just command me to be holy, He has given me everything I need to accomplish it. I’m not there yet, but I know I’m on my way. And, regardless, my Dad sees me as complete.
He’s your Father, too. He loves you, and He has everything you need to help you in your journey to holiness, and He wants to give it to you. Ask, and you will receive.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Abba, pour out Your love into my heart and help me to receive it. Help me turn from the past and focus my gaze on You, knowing that You have all I need to complete me. Make me complete in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
