Today’s Promise is John 13:16-17 NKJV:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”
It’s not serving God that poses a challenge for most of us. After all He is the Most High God. Serving our fellow servants, on the other hand, seems much less . . . glorious. Yet, as Jesus demonstrated, you cannot do the former without doing the latter. The blessing in serving others comes in knowing that the heart of God is set on the hearts of His children. By blessing one another, we bless our Master. Be filled with the Spirit of God. Then allow the love of the Father to flow out to reach others in service.
Heavenly Father, give me a servant’s heart, in Jesus’ name. Give me a heart like Yours to love who You love and serve selflessly. Be glorified in me, Lord. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
