Today’s Promise is Matthew 5:3 NKJV:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Devotion:
Jesus resurrected our former selves from the ash heap, bringing us into new life. It is in the light of His glory that we see our need for the Savior and can truly appreciate the gift He has given. From this appreciation flows the sincere praise and worship that magnifies the God of our Salvation, and brings His Kingdom to earth to invade and overcome our circumstances, just as He overcame our sin. Spend time meditating on God’s goodness each day and let that spur grateful worship and thanksgiving. Then watch God’s Kingdom invade your world!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, may Your praise be forever on my lips. Your love has saved me and You are worthy of my praise. Pour out Your Spirit, oh Lord, in Jesus’ name, and make Your reality my own, overcoming my weakness and invading my circumstances. Amen.
