Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Psalm 94:18 CJB:
“When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
your grace, Adonai, supported me.”
Devotion:
Once our young daughter saw a jungle gym and was determined to get to the top. In spite of my misgivings, up she climbed. All of a sudden, half-way to the top, she realized how high up she was. Her eyes grew wide, and she froze. “Daddy, help!” she called. “I’m stuck!” But, instead of taking hold of her and carrying her down, Daddy climbed up and stood just below her, encouraging her to take one more rung, and then another, as she protested, “No, Daddy! I can’t do it! I want to go down!” Yet, Daddy kept urging her on, until together, they finally reached the top. “I did it!” she exclaimed. “Mommy, look! I did it!” The daring duo made their way back down the jungle gym in the same fashion, and jumping off the bottom rung, our daughter threw her arms around her daddy. “Thank you, Daddy! I love you!”
Kind of reminds me of another Daddy I know . . .
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my strong Father, encouraging me to go higher, even when I am afraid. Thank You for being there to catch me if I should fall. And thank You for sharing my joy when I make it to the top. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
