Today’s Promise is 1 John 5:10, 11 CJB:
“Those who keep trusting in the Son of God have this witness in them. Those who do not keep trusting God have made him out to be a liar, because they have not trusted in the witness which God has given about his Son. And this is the witness: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
Devotion:
As we continue to abide in Christ, trusting in His faithfulness, power, and authority, our lives reflect His Glory in the world. Not because of what we say, but because of what we do because we trust in Him. We need no longer behave as the world behaves. We are free to love, forgive, and live lives of peace and joy because we have confidence in the Lamb who overcame the world. This confidence is what opens the door to share our faith with others who are looking for that same peace and joy–and gives us the confidence in an eternity filled with them.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me eternal life! Grant me the boldness, in Jesus’ name, to live a life of faith and to share Your wonderful gift, that others might come to know You and have eternal life. Amen.
