Today’s Promise is Psalm 37:4 CJB:
“Then you will delight yourself in Adonai, and he will give you your heart’s desire.”
Devotion:
Have you ever had a dream that seemed impossible to reach? Who do you think gave you that dream? Too often our dreams go unrealized because our focus remains on the world and its limitations, when we should be focusing on the Giver of dreams and His ability to make our dreams reality. In fact, this promise is prefaced with “Don’t be upset by evil doers, or envious of those who do wrong.” When we focus on pleasing and blessing God, He does all the work through us, opening doors and guiding us along the way, making the impossible very possible indeed. In the process, we are filled with joy, and He is glorified. So, don’t hold back! Dream big! Then delight yourself in the Lord–and watch God work. What is your big dream?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, all that I’ll ever need, I have in You. Let me meditate day and night, on Your goodness, in Jesus’ name, delighting in Your love for me, and watching You make my wildest dreams come true. Amen
