Today’s Promise is Psalm 50:15 NKJV:
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
Devotion:
God makes this promise to His faithful servants, those “who have made a covenant with Him by sacrifice.” But He goes on to tell them to offer thanksgiving as their sacrifice and to fulfill their vows to Him, the promise they made to serve and obey Him, for this is what pleases Him. This is what we were created for. When we offer the Lord praise and thanksgiving in all things, the gates of Heaven will open wide. The world may think we are crazy, but when trouble comes our God will be right there to deliver us when it seems all hope is lost. Then the world will watch in wonder and know that He is God. And all the glory will be His.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You that You are the sovereign God. And that, no matter how things may look or feel, You are in control, and You will never leave me nor forsake me. I may not understand everything that happens to me or in the world, but I trust in You. I believe You are faithful to save, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
