Today’s Promise is Hebrews 2:18 NKJV:
“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.”
Devotion:
Loneliness, betrayal, slander, under-appreciation, hatred, abuse . . . murder. There isn’t anything we face on earth that Jesus didn’t face. He overcame it all. Not with anger, resentment, bitterness, or revenge, but with love and forgiveness. Because of this, He has the power to help us overcome in the same way. Freeing us from a lifetime of victimhood. Whatever your trial, Jesus has already taken it to the Cross. Lay it down and walk in His liberty!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for making me more than a conqueror! Help me keep my eyes on You, Lord, in Jesus’ name, so I don’t get knocked off track by the trials of this life. Strengthen my faith in You, and deepen my love for others, that I might constantly dwell in Your presence. Amen!
