Promise of the Day: Go to the Source

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Isaiah 58:11 NKJV:

“The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”

Go to the Source

Devotion:

Many Christians don’t resemble this picture at all. We’re so busy “doing God’s work” that we’re dry as a bone, exhausted, sick, and far from joyful. We forget that every spring has a source that feeds it. Our Father is the source we draw from to keep our gardens flourishing. Like Jesus, when He walked the earth, we must be intentional about going to the Source daily, putting away all distraction, and going into our prayer closet. Not to deliver our list of requests, but just to appreciate and worship our Lord. It’s this quiet communion with God that restores us and strengthens us to do what He asks of us. Do you need refreshing? Go to the Source.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being all I need to thrive in this life. Thank You for not holding back any good thing from me, but for giving freely Your restoring waters. Draw me to You daily and let me rest in Your life-giving flow, that I might produce much fruit in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
