Today’s Promise is 1 John 4:6 CJB:
“We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God doesn’t listen to us. This is how we distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error.“
Devotion:
Don’t be disheartened or angry when people reject the testimony Christ has given you. Even when they are professed believers. People rejected Jesus, too, and He was the Son of God. It takes the Holy Spirit to reveal the Truth to any of us, and it is only by God’s grace that we have received Him. Rest assured that those God has chosen will receive what God has given you to share, and keep sharing! As for those who reject you, pray that God will open their ears as well, that they may receive the Spirit of Truth and turn away from the spirit of error.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how humbled I am that You have given me ears to hear. Help me to walk in Your grace, in Jesus’ name. Help me share Your testimony and release the power of Your Truth, that those who hear will believe and follow You. Amen.
