Promise of the Day: King of Hearts

Chosen to Dwell

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Psalm 2:6-8 NKJV:

“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.'”

Chosen to Dwell

Devotion:

David was prophesying much more than the Reign of King Jesus when he wrote these words. Jesus was the first begotten. When we set our King on the holy hill of Zion–the place of holy prominence in our hearts–we need only to ask our Father, the King, and He will give us the nations. Because Jesus will be living and reigning in and through us. He will go before us and order our every step. And He will be glorified in us!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I want You to reign in my heart! I know there are things and people competing for prominence in my heart, Lord. Some may even offer me the world, but the world is not theirs to give. They didn’t die that I may live. You alone are worthy of my praise and worship. Sanctify me with Your Holy fire, Lord, in Jesus’ name, and take Your rightful place on the throne of my heart. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
