Today’s Promise is Romans 6:7, 8 NKJV:
“For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.”
Devotion:
As with physical death, death to self can be a scary thing. It means leaving behind everything we think to be true about ourselves, the world–and God. It means stepping from the known into the unknown. But it’s not unknown. Jesus did it before us, and now He walks in the Heavenly realms with a new, glorified body. Don’t you want to walk with Him?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please help me trust You enough to let go of my life, in Jesus’ name. I believe You are the author of my life, and You alone can finish the work You have begun in me. Help me walk with You in the Heavenly Realms. Amen.
