Promise of the Day: No Condemnation

Covered

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is John 3:18 NKJV:

He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Devotion:

The word believe, here comes from the Greek root, pistis, meaning a deep conviction that something is truth. The conviction of the truth of Jesus, comes only with the conviction of who we are–sinners–and of our need for Him. Not because He condemns us, but because He is Holy, and sin cannot stand in the presence of Holiness. But He is also love. And under the covering of His blood, we are free from condemnation. In Christ Jesus, we are free indeed.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I believe You sent Your only Son, Jesus, to pay for my sin. Please fill me with Your Spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ name, that I may live out my faith, free of condemnation. Use me, Lord, to show others that Jesus is the Door to their freedom as well. Amen!

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
