Today’s Promise is Jeremiah 29:13 CJB:
“When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly;”
Devotion:
Our God is not standing in the background waiting for us to be good enough for Him–or good looking enough, or rich enough, or smart enough … He just wants to know that we are willing to give up everything to be with Him–just as He gave up everything to be with us. One of the things we must be willing to give up is our preconceived notions and other men’s ideas of who God is. Only the Spirit of God truly knows who He is, and He was sent to reveal His nature to us. If you truly want to know God, go to the source. He won’t hide His face from those who seek Him with passion.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your all to make a way for me to be with You and dwell in Your sanctuary. Give me a passion like that for You. Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, and draw me closer to You as I let everything else fade into the background. For in You, I have all I’ll ever need. Amen.
