Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Psalm 4:8 NKJV:
“I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Devotion:
Many people are consumed with worry about what the future holds. Some spend much time and money preparing for the worst, thinking it will better their chances of survival. But, the best “prepping” we can do, is to get to know the One who controls the future, and put our trust in Him.
The world says, “The sky is falling! Build your stockpiles!”
God says, “I will keep you in perfect peace if your mind is stayed on Me, because you trust Me.”
The world says, “You’ve got to protect yourselves! Buy more guns and ammo!”
Jesus says, “I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Truly, our God, with the host of Heaven at His command, is more than capable of handling whatever comes our way. We can trust Him to “give His beloved ones restful sleep.”
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are all the safety I need. Thank You for covering me with Your mighty wing. Help me to put all my trust in You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
