Today’s Promise is Isaiah 12:2, 3 NKJV:
“Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’
Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.”
Devotion:
And this is how we know God is God, and there is no other. Even before the foundations of the world were laid, God planned our Salvation through His Son. And just to make sure we understood it was His plan and not some strange twist of fate or plot of man to manipulate his fellow human beings, He made His plan known through His prophet, Isaiah, some 700 years before Jesus was born! What makes this promise even more exciting is the fact that, if God keeps His promises after 700 years, we can be sure that when Jesus said He would return for us one day, He will keep that promise as well. Whether it be 700 years from now–or a week from next Thursday…
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constancy, for creating us with a plan, and for revealing Your plan to us through Your prophets. Thank You for creating us with a hope and a future. And thank You for being that future. Amen.
