Today’s Promise is Leviticus 9:6 CJB:
“Moshe (Moses) said, ‘This is what Adonai has ordered you to do, so that the glory of Adonai will appear to you.'”
Devotion:
So many Christians cry out for the Glory of the Lord to manifest on earth, bringing revival. Yet, so few churches today preach repentance, substituting the gift of grace for our responsibility to walk humbly before the Lord. The law of sacrifice given to Israel in the book of Leviticus was not an archaic system to be abolished by Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, but a foreshadowing of what would be required of us to complete it. Adonai is still Adonai. He will not share His glory with our sinful nature. If we are to experience the fullness of His Glory, we must come before Him with a contrite spirit and humble heart, putting our flesh to death, laying our will on His altar, and allowing Him to cleanse us from all iniquity. Do you want the Glory of God to appear to you? Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up (James 4:10)!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know Your grace has saved me, but the war of the flesh is still a daily battle. I praise Your name, that Your Son has given me the victory, and that in Him, I can choose to crucify my flesh moment by moment, day by day, and be sanctified through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, my repentance, and Your forgiveness. Abba, Father, let me see your Glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
