Promise of the Day: The Reckoning

Today’s Promise is Isaiah 59:19 CJB:

in the west they will fear the name of Adonai,
and likewise, in the east, his glory.

For he will come like a pent-up stream,
impelled by the Spirit of Adonai.

This promise reminds me of several dreams I’ve had, including, “Tidal Wave of Judgment.” More and more it appears that evil has taken over, and everything that is good and true is all but gone. Certainly, for those who don’t know and trust in God, it’s easy to lose hope. But those who know God, know that He has the last Word. Some Bible versions translate this verse, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” But, in fact, this entire chapter is about our Redeemer taking vengeance on His enemies. Though those who practice evil seem to prosper and to gloat in their rebellion against God, the party won’t last long. That is why we are told to never tire in doing what is right. Our Lord has promised to judge every man according to their deeds. And He never breaks His promises.

Heavenly Father, I don’t glory in the suffering of others, but I rejoice that one day, You will be revealed in all Your glory, and that those who love and obey You will be justified in our faith. Until that day, help me cling to You and everything that is holy, that I may continue to be a light in a dark world and others will be drawn to Your light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
