Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Psalm 91:9, 10 NKJV:
“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;”
Devotion:
If you have read my articles, “The True Armor of God,” or “Are You Prepared for the Outbreak?,” you know it is vital that we understand what it means to make the Lord our dwelling place, and strive to do so. Yet, so few Christians do. So few churches teach what came so naturally to Moses, David, and Jesus. The discipline of waiting on God. Only by taking time each day to be still before the Lord in an attitude of reverence and worship, learning to discern His presence and voice can we truly dwell in Him. And only by letting go of the things of the world and the offenses of the past, surrendering our will to Him, prostrating ourselves before Him in all humility can we truly enter into His presence. How awesome it is to feel His tangible presence with you every moment of the day, and not just a couple hours a week. This is what Jesus died to give us. Not only the hope of Salvation, but the fullness of His glory here and now! Jesus is calling you. Will you pencil Him in to your busy schedule?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, how wonderful it is to feel Your hand in mine as I travel the path You have set before me. Let Your praise be forever on my lips, in Jesus’ name. Especially, when the evil one comes against me. You alone are my refuge and my fortress. In You alone will I trust. Amen!
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
