Promise of the Day: The True Disciple

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is Titus 2:11-13 CJB:

For God’s grace, which brings deliverance, has appeared to all people. It teaches us to renounce godlessness and worldly pleasures, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives now, in this age; while continuing to expect the blessed fulfillment of our certain hope, which is the appearing of the Sh’khinah of our great God and the appearing of our Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah.

Devotion:

It doesn’t get much clearer than this. Jesus Christ has revealed God’s grace to ALL people, putting the ball squarely in our court. This precious gift of grace doesn’t teach once saved, always saved. The “sinner’s prayer” isn’t an indulgence, a get-out-of-jail-free card. God’s grace is Jesus Christ himself, showing us the way of holiness NOW. In this life. Not in some perfect by-and-by, though it is indeed perfect, but this very day in this earth age. It is the power of the Risen Savior, the Holy Spirit, living inside of us, convicting us when we go astray and empowering us to humble ourselves and repent. Empowering us to deny our pride, and to love others as our Savior has loved us. God’s grace has been revealed to all people. But only those who become dedicated students, disciples of Messiah, will have no regrets when our Rabbi returns.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I remember as a child being taught the traditions of man regarding Your Grace. It was a time of self-loathing and confusion. But You have given me Your Spirit, and now I walk in Your light. Your yolk is indeed light, and I glorify You with all I am, that You have chosen me to receive such a blessed gift. I am not perfect, but I am being perfected. Let me walk with you all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, that I may continue in Your way and look forward to the return of my Savior and teacher. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
