Blessings!
Today’s Promise is Psalm 9:9, 10 NKJV:
“The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
Devotion:
Do you know anyone who never contacts you unless they need something? Don’t you get excited when you see their name on the caller id? Of course not. It’s just another reminder that you’re not worth having a relationship with. Your only worth to that person is what you can do for them. That hurts, doesn’t it? The time to seek God is not when you need something. The time to seek Him is now–and always. Strive to become His friend and keep Him close. His worth goes far, far beyond what He can do for us. You can truly have no better friend than Jesus.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me make seeking You the most important thing in my life. You have provided the means for me to know You intimately and love You absolutely. Help me to do just that, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
