Promise of the Day: The Company You Keep

Just Wait

Blessings!

Today’s Promise is 3 John 1:11 NKJV:

“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.”

Devotion:

In these last days it is so important to follow people who walk in the Spirit. Anyone can say, “I’m a Christian,” but a tree is known by its fruit. You can easily tell the true owner of a person’s heart by the words they speak and the actions they take. A person in a committed relationship with Jesus will speak words of love and grace, and will act accordingly. When they fail to do so, they are quick to repent. Follow people like this, that you might emulate them, keeping a clean, holy vessel in which the Holy Spirit can dwell and empower you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to surrender my pride and will to You every moment of every day, in Jesus’ name, that I not speak words that cause injury or act rashly. Let me say and do nothing without the guidance of Your Spirit of Holiness. And grant me discernment, Lord, that I might not follow after the base things of this world, but keep my eyes on things above. Amen.

Have a victorious day in the Lord!
