Today’s Promise is Romans 8:38-39 NKJV:
“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
This was written by a man who previously had made it his life’s mission to chase down Christians, have them put in prison, and ultimately murdered. After meeting Jesus, Paul spent the remainder of his life sharing the love spoken of in this verse in obedience to Christ. Not because the law said he had to, not because he felt guilty, but because his love for Jesus compelled him to live a life that pleased God. If a man like that can know forgiveness and a love so deep from the God of All Creation that it changes him from the inside out, there is hope for us all. We, too, can know and trust that, whether we can feel it or not, God’s love for us is real. It doesn’t fade, it doesn’t wear out, and no one can steal it from us. What we do with that love is up to us.
Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me so completely. Give me the grace and strength to cling to Your love, no matter how things may look or feel. Invade me with Your love, oh Lord, in Jesus’ name, that I may be an expression of that love in the world. Amen.
Have a victorious day in the Lord!
